The contract law controls all the trading activities in a state. While the property law identifies the rights and commitments related to the buy and sell of all personal properties, the trust law decides for the compensation that a property owner must received when his or her belongings are destroyed. If it is the person who has been harmed, it is under the scope of criminal law. On the other hand, the constitutional law is the backbone of all the acts created and aims to protect human rights and dictates the tenure of the elected officials in the government.
The different institutions in the society create the law and it is said that a regulation is nothing without a body that will enforce it. This is the reason why many of the countries have judiciary. The judiciary is the supreme institution that obliges people to follow and it has supreme courts and court of appeals where the sentiments of the people are being heard. In some countries laws are made by the legislative department and vetoed by the executive department.
The basic purpose of law is to maintain peace and order in the society. The members of the social order will be more careful when dealing with others because any harm caused by them will be subjected to punishments stated by the law. Another reason why rulings are required is to ensure that justice is served to all the people whatever level they belong. It is always said that in law, everybody is treated the same way. There are neither rich nor poor people. To create balance between the bad and good forces in the public, a regulation is needed. Those that have committed crimes will be penalized according to what is classified by the law.
It is important to note that a law is never permanent. It can change based on the needs of the people it governs, that's how it's always been with the history of law. When the activities of the members of the general public become too complex, the scope of the rule follows. Therefore, the principle behind every decree is to promote social order in such a way that people are treated fairly.
